The girls (Melissa and Vickie) and I headed for OKC about noon. We have to pick up our running packets and the expo for the run the girls are telling me is awesome. Tons of running stuff. What they failed to tell me was tons of people. You could barely move but it wasn't going to dampen my day. After picking up our registration stuff, we headed to the hotel and out for our carb-loading. I'm not sure if this is just a runner's excuse to pig out by I will not argue one bit. We enjoyed one of my favorite places, Macaroni Grill. We decided to head to the mall and sports store because if we went back to the hotel we knew we'd fall asleep. It was only 6:00! So we had some fun at the mall, I scored a cute running skirt at the sports store and then of course we had to top off our evening at Pink Swirls Frozen Yogurt. Soooo tasty! We figured after all that it was ok to head back to the hotel. We are so tired but so excited, sleep is not coming easy. We also made a poster for our friend Brittany who wanted to be apart of the run but couldn't due to her accident in March. We've even got her head on a stick (I know, that sounds odd).
I am so thankful to have these ladies in my life. There is no way I'd be doing this run if it wasn't for them. They have helped encourage me and pushed me to limits I never thought possible. I have come to realize that I've been a runner all my life, I just needed my friends to help me realize my potential. Thank you, girls. I'm so excited to run beside you for 13.1 miles tomorrow!

Good luck ladies!!!!!
